Keightie’s World goes Interactive
Unlike other blog platforms, Tumblr has a minimalist design and likes to keep itself simple. But did you know you can customize your tumblr account to make it more interesting?
As a blogger, I’d like to know my readers more and know what they think. So I decided to add some tools and widgets.
The first tool I added is Disqus. This will enable readers to add comments on my post. Installing this is so easy. You just have to register and follow the onscreen instructions on their site.
If you’d like to comment on my post, you just need to click Comments and Reactions to open up the URL of the post you’d like to comment on. (while clicking on Share would allow you to share it on google plus, facebook or any other site)
I was also having problems with using Yahoo Pingbox™. Even if I’m logged in using my Yahoo Messenger on my Blackberry, it does say I’m offline on my website. It only works if I open my Yahoo Messenger using my PC. Good thing I tried logging in on my Yahoo Messenger with my IMO. I downloaded IMO for Blackberry and it worked. I was receiving messages. Although, there’s still some problems since the name that the user registered is different from the one seen on my Blackberry. If you guys have another suggestion, do let me know.
